Sarasota's Ringling College of Art and Design will begin offering a degree in virtual reality development next fall. The school is one of the first educational institutions in the country to offer a major focused on virtual reality. Students will take courses in visual scripting, concept development for virtual worlds, visual development for virtual reality, creating three-dimensional content and more. The major will be part of the college’s computer animation department, headed by Jim McCampbell. The school is currently accepting applications for the program.
