The groundbreaking ceremony for Manatee County's new North River High School will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7. The school is scheduled to open in August 2019, and is being built to house 2,000 students, with space to expand to accommodate 2,400 students, if needed. It will be located on a 98-acre parcel at the southeast corner of Martha Road and Erie Road in Parrish. The total projected budget for construction of the new school is $90 million.
