More than 174 million Americans shopped in stores or online during the extended Thanksgiving weekend, according to data published by the National Retail Federation on Tuesday. Average spending per person between Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday was $335.47, with $250.78 specifically going toward gifts. The biggest spenders were those between the ages of 25 and 34, who spent an average of $419.52.
